a poem: scapegoat

i don’t belong here
Whose words, yours or mine?
you say they’re mine
over and over again
not letting me get a word in edge-wise
Wise of you to do that,
Bury me with your bones. Your dirt.

i don’t deserve to exist
Suicide, the societal taboo
Isn’t it sad how many of us find a home in it?
we’re digging trenches, digging graves
digging for anything and everything with no intention
Of striking gold.
We chip away at the earth, not realizing that the…
